AITEX is a Spanish non-profit making private association formed by textile and related companies, whose main objective is to improve the competitiveness of textile companies by promoting modernization activities, introducing new technologies, and improving the quality of both companies and products.
ROLE IN UTILE PROJECT
With its expertise in SPE testing, development, eco-design, and recycling processes for technical textiles, AITEX leads the activities related to tracking, collecting, dismantling, and recycling SPE materials, and recovering textiles from EoL products for valorization.
AITEX also leads the tasks related to defining the quality of recycled products, identifying stakeholders in the process, assessing the properties of the project outcomes, and valorizing aramid fibers. An eco-design perspective will be applied to garments and protective gear, creating guidelines for using these strategies in the SPE sector.
