OUR MISSION
The project’s mission is to address the need for the EU military to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly by fostering the adoption of circular economy concepts through innovative technology development and demonstration.
Its objectives and outcomes are fully aligned with the EC Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP), a cornerstone of the European Green Deal, and the Incubation Forum for Circular Economy in European Defence (IF CEED) launched on 1 October 2021.
Our approach
UTILE’s approach aims to develop innovative technologies to integrate bio-based and recycled materials into soldier protection personal equipment (SPE) by combining different expertise and capabilities.
Along with this, UTILE will create a digital platform integrating AI, blockchain, and cost-benefit analysis to foster the implementation of circularity concepts within and beyond the SPE value chain.
Partners
UTILE boasts a collaborative effort involving 8 partners across Europe, each contributing unique expertise and capabilities to drive the project’s success.
EMBRACING CIRCULAR SOLUTIONS
